I am Dr Rosaria Campilongo, I am a molecular microbiologist, a nutritionist and a fitness trainer. I studied Biological Science at Sapienza, University of Rome, in Italy. After my bachelor degree (first-class honours), I decided to get a Master degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology (first-class honours) and then, fascinated by the microbe’s world, I started a PhD in microbiology.
In the meantime, I got qualifications for becoming a fitness trainer in aerobics and steps, body pump, super jump (trampoline) and others activities and I started to work in several gyms in Rome. The combination of my biological knowledge and my fitness activities made me feel wanted to know more about food and human nutrition. I decided to attended a post-graduate degree level course in Human Nutrition (Nutrifor, Rome IT) to better understand how food can affect human health.
My passion for biological research, human nutrition and sport have always gone together. Being up to date with the latest research regarding food and its nutritional benefits is essential in providing the best advice. Sometimes it may be difficult to understand what to do, because of so many points of view and complicated advice from various experts.
I believe in real food and a commitment to work together on finding solutions to the issues you may have. I have now, more than 6 years of nutritional consultancy experience in which I saw many people reaching their goals, successfully. I am very happy to support and help people, when they reach their achievements I reach mine.
